Dental Veneers

A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain, custom-made for one tooth and bonded to its front surface. It is the tool cosmetic dentistry reaches for when the problem is not just color but shape: teeth that are chipped, worn, slightly crooked, permanently stained, or spaced in ways whitening and bonding cannot fully address.

Getting veneers usually takes two to three visits. First we plan the result together — shade, shape, and how much of your smile you want to change. Then a thin layer of enamel is gently prepared from each treated tooth, and temporary veneers protect your teeth while the dental laboratory crafts the final porcelain. At the last visit, each veneer is tried in, adjusted, and bonded into place.

Veneers are a lasting change — some enamel is removed, so the treatment is not reversible — which makes the planning visit the most important one. We will show you what is possible, be candid about when a simpler treatment like bonding or whitening would serve you better, and never talk you into more dentistry than your goals require.

Veneers are often chosen for

  • Chipped, cracked, or worn front teeth
  • Stubborn discoloration that whitening cannot lift
  • Small gaps and minor crowding
  • Teeth that are oddly shaped or undersized
  • A single standout tooth or a full smile
